7 Stephen King books that Are Not "It"

Stephen King is one of the most successful horror writers of all time. His books have sold over 350 million copies and have been adapted into countless adaptations and spin-offs. King’s books have been adapted into television shows, feature films, video games, and even comic books. 






Many of his stories inspired the horror that we love today. So, if you like scary stories, there’s a high probability that you’ve read at least one Stephen King book.

But have you read any of these other books that are just as good as “It”? Stephen King has written a ton of books and stories, so it’s not as simple as saying “yes” or “no” to all of them. Hearts in Atlantis by Stephen King


This book is the first in a series of four by Stephen King that are set in the town of Castle Rock. The series follows the lives of characters in Castle Rock in the early 80s. In the book, a man named Henry Deaver returns to Castle Rock after his wife’s mysterious death.



The Man in the Black Suit by Stephen King

The Man in the Black Suit is a collection of three novelettes and six short stories that are set in the Stephen King universe. In these stories, we meet Roland the Gunslinger who is once again on a journey to the Dark Tower.

On Writing is a collection of essays and articles about the writing process by Stephen King. This is a great book for aspiring writers who want to understand the process a little bit better.
